Norani Qaida

Course Overview

The “Norani Qaida” course is designed as the foundational program for students who are beginning their journey of learning to read the Quran. This course introduces students to the basic rules of Arabic pronunciation, helping them recognize and correctly pronounce the Arabic letters and sounds. By the end of this course, students will be well-prepared to start reading the Quran with proper Tajweed (rules of Quranic recitation).

  • To help students recognize and pronounce vowels (Fatha, Kasra, Dhamma) and other diacritical marks used in Arabic.

  • Understanding the concept of Sukun (a mark indicating a consonant without a vowel) and how to pronounce it.
  • Learning Tanween (nunation) and its application in reading.
  • Introduction to Shaddah (a mark indicating a double consonant) and its correct pronunciation.
  • Practice connecting letters to form simple words.
  • Reading words with various vowel marks and understanding their meanings.
  • Introduction to the rules of elongation (Madd) and its application in reading.
